Hello.
Sorry for writing in English again, but I'm not abe to use French and German is not the right language in a french forum :-).


I'm interested in the SNCF 65505 with artcle-number 2802 from Electrotren. But because of I'm only buying models of the Epoche IV and V, I don't know if I should buy the loco.

On the Electrotren homepage the loco is marked with "Epoche III". But isn't the number 65505 a characteristic of the "Epoche IV"? In the Epoche III the loco should named like 060DA-16, or not?

When starts the Epoche IV in France? Is it not like around 1967 as in Germany? How could I indicate a clear Epoche IV model of the serie 65500?

Or has anybody information, if Electrotren made "only" a mistake and mentioned the wrong Epoche?

there is no problem to use this locomotive in the epoch V. It was used to haul trains during the construction of TGV lines in the 80's and 90's. Those locomotives are used by the "infrastructure" department of the SNCF. So it was possible to see it some years ago. But today, i think there were been scrapped.
And i'm sorry for my poor english.

Curieuse cette photo, elle a été retouchée au niveau des plaques, c'est la 65524.

Pour les époques de ces machines:

de la construction à 1961: 060DA
61 à 69/70: CC64000
70 à la fin: CC65500

Pour information, la CC 65529 est stationnée en Gare de Montmirail (51).
Elle porte le cartouche du Dépôt d'Avignon.
Elle a servi aux travaux du TGV Méditerranée.
Elle avait été alors baptisée "Louisa" par les personnels.

J'ignorais la transition d'immatriculation en CC64000 dans les Années 60.
Pourquoi avoir l'avoir ensuite modifiée en CC65500 ? (projet d'une série diesel ?)

Parce que la série 63000/63500 empiétait sur le 64000, je crois....

Il est vrai qu'il y a aussi les BB64700 et leurs trucks 64800 pour les manoeuvres dans les triages même si ces tranformations doivent être plus récentes. (Années 80 ?).

oui, c'est plus récent... mais les CC 65500 ont en effet pris cette dénomination définitive au moment où l'on s'est rendu compte que le nombre de 63500 a produire allait obliger a dépaser le numéro 64000

When I guess it right, the loco which is placed in the picture would run beginning 1970 to the end. But why are the big numbers "24" placed on the loco? Is there a date, when the locos of the serie 65500 got that numbers?

And perhaps could anybody answere the question, from which date the Epoche IV would start in France?

Don't know exactly why the engines are wearing that number. It is perhaps related to their roaster on the "Grande Ceinture" or, more recently, to their inclusion within the infrastructure dept.

If I am not mistaken, era IV started in France in 1968. However, the French often sub-divide that era in two: IVa and IVb. IVb may have to do with the "nouille" marking on the rolling stock later on, I am not sure though.

I think the Epoche IV began about 1968/1970 with the little red lights on the modern locos and the number UIC on the coaches
